Before the visit, the sand should be cleared of large debris and leveled.

What is the price for sandbox decontamination service?

The decontamination of the sand and the final price depend on the size of the sandbox, its location, and the urgency of the request, but the minimum cost for such a service is €30. The price includes transport, labor, materials, taxes, and all associated costs. The final price is determined after уточнение of the parameters.

What should we know about sandbox disinfection and its maintenance?

According to Ordinance No. 3 of February 5, 2007 of the Ministry of Health regarding health requirements in childcare facilities, Art. 7 (3): "Sand in sandboxes must be periodically replaced, replenished, and treated with insecticides." It is important to ensure that contamination is not allowed, especially when the sandbox is located in a nursery (see Ordinance No. 26 of November 18, 2008 of the Ministry of Health regarding the structure and operation of nurseries...)
The replacement interval of the sand depends on various factors and is therefore not specifically defined in the regulation. However, it is recommended to replace the sand at least twice a year - in spring and towards the end of summer, as most sandboxes are outdoors and not used during winter. If you are certain that animals or other contaminants do not have access to the sandbox, you may perform only periodic disinfection - also two or three times per year.
When the sandbox is not in use, it must be covered with a waterproof cover or thick plastic sheet - this will prevent animals from developing the habit of using it as a place to relieve themselves.
The most important thing when you contact us for sandbox disinfection is to prepare a flat shovel and a person who, after we spray, will turn over the treated sand with a high-quality broad-spectrum insecticide. We will then spray again the dry portion of the sand, as the wet part will have been turned underneath.
As an additional measure to repel cats and dogs from the sand, you can also use certain products designed for this purpose.
